Emilio studied journalism in his native Spain and filmmaking in the United States. In the 1990’s, Emilio worked as a producer for CNN in Atlanta and Washington, D.C.
Emilio has embarked in a life-long project to documents the history of AIDS. You can read more about this work in progress on his blog.
In 2013, Emilio travel to Africa to document the work of Dr. Robert Murphy, a pioneer researcher and clinician who has dedicated his career to the fight against infectious diseases in the United States and around the globe. The following are some documentaries that Emilio Williams directed. They were edited by award-winning filmmaking Richard Vazquez, and feature different projects that Dr. Murphy has championed in Mali, Uganda and Nigeria.
